What happens after the 14-day trial?
Your selected plan (Plus or Pro) will activate and your payment method will be charged. You can cancel anytime during the trial from your account page — you won't be charged a penny.
Can I use Dictura without paying?
Absolutely. The Free plan gives you unlimited on-device transcription powered by WhisperKit. It runs entirely on your device with no cloud dependency. You only need a paid plan for cloud transcription and AI translation.
Is my voice data stored or shared?
No. Audio recordings are processed and immediately deleted. In on-device mode, nothing ever leaves your device. In cloud mode, audio is sent to OpenAI for processing and is not stored by us or OpenAI.
How accurate is the transcription?
Cloud transcription uses OpenAI's latest model and supports 99+ languages with near-human accuracy. On-device mode uses WhisperKit and is best for English and major languages. Both handle accents, technical terms, and natural speech well.
How does AI translation work?
After your speech is transcribed, Dictura uses AI to translate the text into your chosen target language. You can speak in any language and get output in any of 60+ languages. The translation is context-aware and produces natural, professional results.
